I found these in a sports article i read from the hamilton speculator in the sports section....thought i might help explain just a little....

"I did not feel that we were going in the right direction, both mentally and hockey(-wise), going into the playoffs, for a variety of reasons," the New Jersey Devils GM told The Canadian Press.

"It was never my intention to ever possibly go back (behind the bench) again," Lamoriello said. "It's just the timing to put somebody else in at this time with the number of games left wouldn't have been fair."

"Without question," Lamoriello said. "... It's surprising to people but they only have the surface and not the knowledge. This was an easy decision not to make. It's certainly a decision that's more difficult to make."

I really would like to know the inside scoop! I was tlking to Jamie and she actually talked to roberto lunego (sry bout sp) so maybe if i got janssen on the side...i could get filled in a little better!! Laughing

wow i can't believe Lou fired him but he must have a good reason! i have heard myself it was because he thought the team was lacking somthing. he coached us last year at the end and we beat the rangers straight so we will have to see how him and captain Patrik do this year!!!

Yeah, pat needs to get some morale going!! he's been doing okay, but we really need to pick the game up..good thing that game sunday wasn't a must win!! that .8 sec goal was amazing, but almost by luck! idk if it was that we knew we did NEED to win or what, but we seemed to lack a little
